Wellness Center

The Wellness Center as well as the Mind & Body Studio offers the latest in fitness equipment, group exercise classes, and much more. We offer a variety of strength and cardiovascular machines that all overlook the serene pool and golf course. Whether it’s working on building strength, feeling the warmth of the sun in our water aerobics classes, or working on breathing techniques in our yoga classes, we have something perfectly suited for you.

Wellness Programs

Whether you are new to fitness or you have been exercising for a long time, our programs are designed with the individual’s goal in mind. Emphasis is placed on letting the clients take control and work at their own pace. The non-intimidating atmosphere helps clients to focus on their routine. Our educated and dedicated staff offers complimentary orientations to assess your current fitness level, establish goals, and ensure a safe and effective exercise routine. Personal training is also available for those looking to have that extra push or one-on-one time with the supervision of a trainer.

Mind and Body Studio

Our energetic, qualified instructors offer a variety of classes from morning to afternoon. Whether you desire a high-energy Zumba class, the strengthening of Pilates, a refreshing pool workout or the tranquil meditation of yoga, the Mind & Body Studio has a class for you!

Currently, we are offering pool classes and virtual classes only. We will be holding 1 live virtual classes Monday-Thursday on the Club Renaissance Facebook Page. You can do these classes live with us or you can do them at your own leisure.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions- Water

Aqua Fiesta(***): An invigorating and fun low impact aquatic exercise to help you reach your fitness goals. It mixes traditional aquatic fitness with Latin and international music beats for a blend of cardio and resistance training. [45 min.]

Aqua Yoga(!!): A gentle, beginner-friendly approach to Yoga suitable for all levels and conditions. This water-based non-aerobic class focuses on improving balance and core strength, as well as improving the mind-body connection. [45 min.]

Aqua Fun Friday/H20 Weights/Noodle Wednesdays(*): This class take place in our beautiful pool where the temperature is just right for Florida weather This class is designed to safely increase muscle strength and endurance and uses various pieces of equipment such as noodles, water weights, and gloves. All physical fitness levels welcome! [45 min.]

Gentle Cardio-Strength(**): This class is a more gentle form of Aqua Cardio-Strength. The instructor will keep at a slower pace while raising the heart rate and getting a fun cardio and strength workout. [45 min.]

Power Walk and Stretch(*): A cardiovascular workout performed in the refreshing pool. We will be walking the width of the pool doing various body movements to elevate the heart rate and keep it up. In addition, different stretches will be added to increase flexibility and range of motion [45 min.]

 

Walking/Jogging Track

Overlooking the fitness complex, the walking/jogging track is made of Tufflex compound rubber and is designed for maximum results and safety.

Personal Trainers

If you need help getting started or maintaining your fitness program, consider a Personal Training session. Our highly qualified Fitness Trainers are here to help you meet your goals. Appointments are available on a limited basis and fill up quickly, so stop by or call the Wellness Center to schedule your appointment today.

Policies & Procedures

The procedures outlined herein are designed to help protect Members, employees and their families. It is imperative that we all follow these protocols to reduce the risk of spreading the corona-virus.

Residents voluntarily agree to use Club Renaissance facilities at their own risk and accept responsibility for their own protection and for disinfecting their hands and anything they touch while using the clubhouse in addition to practicing social distancing at all times.

HAND HYGIENE

  • Wash hands often and for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid contact with face and eyes with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid common greetings, such as handshakes and instead greet with a wave.
  • Avoid contact with high frequency touch points.

PROTECTING YOURSELF AND OTHERS

  • Stay home if:

- You are feeling unwell,

- You have traveled within the past 14 days,

- You have a new or worsening cough or fever,

- You have been advised by a medical professional to self-isolate.

-  Older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness, please be cautious and protect yourself. We suggest that you wear a mask whenever possible.

  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  • Practice respiratory etiquette, including coughing and sneezing into your arm. Dispose of tissues immediately into trash receptacles.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

  • Always maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from others.
  • Maintain a safe distance while handing goods and making transactions.
  • Protective barriers shall be used to protect cashiers and customers in payment transaction areas.
  • Observe floor markings and barriers to maintain proper traffic flow and physical distancing between customers where line-ups can form.
  • Limits to the number of people allowed in the same area will be imposed.
  • Staff will be assigned to monitor safe physical distancing in congested areas like entrances/exits and check-outs.

Pool Policies and Regulations

Monday – Sunday: 7 days per week
Each pool time slot will be on a first come first serve basis. Members will be allowed in the pool area in an orderly fashion by presenting and or swiping their membership card. Once the capacity of 50 members is reached the pool area will be closed down.

  • Each Member is limited to one time slot per day.
  • The Spa parking lot pool gate will be the only point of exit/entry.
  • Please do not show up more than 7 minutes early. We will not allow early entry.
  • We encourage you to remain in your vehicle or golf cart to avoid getting in line.
  • At the appropriate time slot, you may enter the pool area.
  • Only members with their membership card will be permitted to utilize the pool.
  • No local guests or house guests allowed at this time. Do not hand out your membership cards to non-members or guests. Your membership card will be deactivated if it is used by a non-member or House Guest and your membership privileges will be suspended.
  • Pool Locker Rooms are open for bathroom use only. The showers, saunas, and steam rooms are currently closed.
  • Use of the outdoor Jacuzzi is prohibited and blocked off.
  • Food and Beverage Service will be offered. Please refer to the “FB Hours of Operations”. You may bring in bottle water and a small snack if needed to take with medication.
  • Water fountains will not be available.
  • Coolers, glass and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the pool area.
  • Please clean-up your area before leaving and lower your umbrella after use.
  • Members are urged to wipe down chairs before and after use.
  • Members may bring their own chair.
  • No towels are provided. Please bring your own towels.
  • Pool lounge chairs and chairs will be set up for couples of the same household with six feet of separation between other Members.

Fitness Center

Hours of Operation:
Fitness Room 1 & 2 will be available for use on Monday’s at 7:00 a.m. through Saturday’s until 12 p.m. (noon) with 24 hour access. The Fitness Center will remain closed from Saturday at noon through 7:00 a.m. on Monday’s.

Please enter through the Spa area pool gate for after hours (5 p.m.), and then proceed through the locker rooms or the pool fitness door using your membership card. Please do not block any gates or doors from closing allowing unauthorized access. No House Guests are allowed at this time. Your membership card will be deactivated if it is used by a non-member or House Guest and your membership privileges will be suspended.

We have designed two fitness rooms for use. Fitness Room 1, which is the normal work out equipment room and Fitness Room 2 which was the exercise class room.

Fitness Room Schedule

Fitness Rooms: Reservations for the time slots are no longer required. The time slots are first come, first serve basis, no more than 10 members per fitness room, per time slot.

Monday – Friday:                         

7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.                Fitness Room 1 & 2

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.              Closed for staff deep cleaning

1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.                  Fitness Room 1 & 2

Walking Track: The walking track will be available for use 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Only 5 members at one time, per 1 hour time allotment on a first come, first serve basis. For after-hours use (5 p.m.) enter through the Spa area pool gate then proceed through the locker rooms using your membership card. You may also access through the handicap automatic doors on the right side of the main clubhouse entrance.  Please do not block any gates or doors from closing allowing unauthorized access. The outside pool stair entrance to the walking track cannot be used for access however you may use as an exit when done working out.

Upstairs Biking area: We have available 2 recumbent bikes and 5 spinning bikes. Same time schedule as above, enter through the main Spa Entrance, check-in with the Fitness Coordinator. Only 5 members at one time, first come, first serve basis.

Fitness Classes Reservation Policies

Water Aerobics Classes: Classes offered Monday – Friday at 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 11:15 – 12:00 p.m., maximum of 25 members per class, by reservation only. Reservation request can be made by emailing Ichell Davis on Friday’s only for the upcoming week (Monday – Friday) at idavis@clublink.ca. You can reserve as many classes as you want for a 1 week period. Upon approval you will receive a confirmation email back from Ichell. Please remember to include in your reservation request:

  • Your name
  • Your membership partners name (if needed)
  • Membership Number
  • Day & Time required

You must have a reservation to participate in the aerobic classes. The aerobics class participants will be the only ones allowed in the pool area during class time.

*In the event of inclement weather, aqua class will be cancelled. Inclement weather includes rain, hail, thunder, lightning, or temperatures below 60 degrees.

Fitness Center Policies and Regulations

  • Mask are required to wear inside the fitness area.
  • Only members with their membership card will be permitted to utilize the Fitness Rooms, Walking Track and or Upstairs biking area. No House Guests are allowed at this time. Do not hand out your membership cards to non-members or House Guests. Your membership card will be deactivated if it is used by a non-member or House Guest and your membership privileges will be suspended.
  • Pool Locker Rooms are open for bathroom use only. The showers, saunas, and steam rooms are currently closed.
  • Use of the outdoor Jacuzzi is prohibited and blocked off.
  • Member will be allowed to work out without time restrictions. However please be considerate of other members that want to work out.
  • Please bring your own towel, mat and water.
  • All surfaces that cannot be wiped down will be taken out of service. This includes bands, mats, small balls, rollers and all small fabric items.
  • Please do not transfer equipment from room to room.
  • Members may move between fitness rooms based on maximum capacity levels, check with Fitness Coordinator first.
  • Members are required to wipe down the equipment before and after use.
  • Water fountains will not be available.
  • Gym is set up with social distance guidelines please respect other Members space.

We will continue to adjust this model and focus on continuous improvement. Please keep in mind that this is a start and the safety and well being of our Members, Staff and their Families will continue to be our priority.
